Pond Fishing For Brook Trout.
The Ontario ministry of natural resources stock many ponds throughout central/southern Ontario.
When I was younger I’d ride by bike a few miles to one of these ponds. I found the best way to catch these fish was
with bait and a bobber.
For bait I’d use either small worms that I dug up in the back yard, or kernel corn. I guess the
brook trout liked the kernel corn because it reminded them of the pellets they got fed in the trout hatchery. If
you fish these ponds be sure to fish the streams coming into and leaving the pond.
