David and Marlene Martin

I met David and Marlene Martin this fall, they where in the cabin next to me. We were staying at Long Point Lodge in the Elk Lake region. Great people!

Much to my surprise 35 years earlier we had belong to the same sportsman club at the same time. I must admit I didn't remember, but David sure did with his fine sense of memory.

There was actually 3 of us in camp at that time that all had lived in a small town called Ingersoll in the 1970's, like they say it's a small world.

Now you will notice Marlene is wearing her lucky fishing hat. She had caught 3 pickel that day if I remember right. David not so lucky that day. I asked Marlene what she was using that day and much to my surprise David and Marlene gave me the lure to try for myself that afternoon.

Well it must have been the lucky hat that Marlene wears because we caught no fish with that lure but we saved it for next year.

Great people if you run into them along the way talk to them they will make you feel very welcome.
